Detailer / Drafter

Job description:

Construction safety consulting firm is seeking an AutoCAD Detailer / Drafter in the New York City area for a full-time position. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Site safety experience and knowledge of NYC Building Code is highly preferred.
Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Duties:

·Under supervision you will manage projects from start to finish, including performing site visits, communicating with the client and drafting accurate site safety and other engineering plans.

Qualifications:

·Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred, but not required;
·Auto CAD competence required; must be proficient in current release of AutoCAD;
·Must be able to read and understand construction plans and drawings;
·Knowledge of building codes including working with NYC Department of Building and zoning regulations is preferred;
·Thorough understanding of drafting standards;
·Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe Reader and Excel is required;·Must possess good communication skills, ability to collaborate in a team environment and meet deadlines.

College students in their last year majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction or related fields are welcome to apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $55K-70K a year

**We will pay a salary package which is commensurate with experience** in the New York City area for a full-time position. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
