NEW YORK CITY: INTRO 2263 PASSES!

MPORTANT NEWS!

Yesterday, the NYC Council voted in favor of Intro 2263, that re-defined a “Major Building” in the NYC Building Code, to any building that is 7 stories or 75’ tall. This new law will take effect in November 2024. We applaud the Council, and compliment DOB Commissioner LaRocca, for supporting this bill that will truly and unequivocally, save construction workers lives! Our President, Peter Amato, testified before the Council on September 13, 2021 in full support of this game changing law that will require safety oversight on low-rise buildings.
