Course Description: The S-60 COF is required for a watchperson at any new building or full demolition construction site having a footprint of between 5,000 square feet and 40,000 square feet, once the foundation has been poured. The watchperson must be on duty at the site during all hours when operations are not in progress. This course prepares students for the S-60 WATCHPERSON AT CONSTRUCTION SITES (Citywide) (S-60)

- Standpipe system and alarm system.
- First Responder Box.
- Hazardous materials.
- Waste disposal.
- Portable fueled heating devices.
- Elevator in readiness.
- Site security and general housekeeping.
- Fire Extinguishers.
Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisites for this course.
Objectives: This course prepares students for the S-60 Fireguard for Torch Operations COF exam.
Course Materials: This course consists of several different components which include power point presentations, lecture, real life case studies, class discussion and hands on demonstration. Students must bring picture ID to the class.
